Welcome to Basics of Christian Wisdom!

Below you’ll find the information for our time together as we learn to rejoice in all the gifts the Lord has given to us. These resources include our class schedule, the materials for the class, home readings, and various supplemental resources. Along the way, if you run into any issues, see any errors, or have any questions, please let Pastor know so we can get them addressed.

First Things First

  1. Fill out this Intake Form to let us know a bit more about you. This only goes to the Pastor and is fully confidential.

  2. Take a look at the Rite of Confirmation to familiarize yourself with it.

  3. Use this guide to memorize the “Primary Texts”.

  4. Check out the Small Catechism, this will be our primary guide during out time together.

  • Week 2 - Theology Proper & The First Table: Love God

  • Week 3 - Second Table: Christian Vocation and The Neighbor

  • Week 4 - The Creed: Creation

  • Week 5 - The Creed: The Person of Christ

  • Week 6 - The Creed: The Work of Christ

  • Week 7 - The Creed: The Holy Spirit and the Church

  • Week 8 - The Lord’s Prayer and Worship

  • Week 9 - The Sacraments: Holy Baptism and Holy Absolution

  • Week 10 - The Sacraments: Holy Communion

  • Week 11 - Confirmation (for those desiring to join the church)
