Who We Are

The CBLC is a group of college students and young adults, in and around the Lawrence, KS area, looking to encourage one another in the faith as we get together as a family to grow, learn, serve, worship, and rejoice.

It would be our great joy to have you join our family and be your home away from home.

WEEKLY: AT CHURCH

Service Schedule:

  • Sunday Morning Divine Service: 10:00 am

  • Wednesday Evening Divine Service: 7:00 pm

  • Wednesday Matins (Morning Prayer): 7:30 am

Occasional services, Feasts, and Festivals as announced

Bible Studies:

  • Sunday Adult Bible Study & Sunday School: 9:00 am

  • Young Adults Study and Fellowship (During the school year): Sundays at 5:30pm

  • Tuesday Evening Study: 6pm

  • Wednesday Morning Study: 8am

Confession & Absolution:

Private Confession and Absolution is available by appointment. Contact Pastor Kilgo at 505.553.4829 to schedule a day and time.

OUR LIFE TOGETHER

  • Worship

    Our main source of unity comes from hearing the Word and receiving the Sacrament. We gather weekly to do this. Everything we do flows from this source.

  • Study

    In addition to worship, we recognize the importance of being in the Scriptures to learn, grow, and be encouraged. We offer many opportunities to gather around and rest in the Lord’s Word together.

  • Fun | Fellowship

    As a family, it is important for us to gather with one another for the sake of fun and fellowship. We believe it’s important to enjoy being with each other so we have regular events for this specific purpose.

  • Service

    In living out our faith, we desire to serve those around us. We therefore look to offer regular times to serve our community, church, and one another.

  • Witness

    We desire to share the truth, goodness, and beauty of what we have with others. Many of our conversations give encouragement and instruction in sharing the faith we confess.

A Campus Ministry for Lawrence, KS

The Crimson and Blue Lutheran Crew is conveniently located in Lawrence, Kansas, enabling us to serve students from the University of Kansas (KU) and Baker University. We hold both on-campus events and also events at our church location in the community.

College Ministry Serving the University of Kansas (KU) and Baker University

We serve college students at both the University of Kansas and Baker University. College is both and exciting and a challenging period of life. We are here to walk with you through both the up and the downs, especially by giving you the blessings of Word and Sacrament Ministry to uphold and sustain you.

A Christian College Student Fellowship

Christians are called to uphold each other through mutual love and support. By fellowshipping with your fellow Christian students at college, you are both receiving and giving blessings.

A Lutheran Student Ministry

We are a Lutheran Student Ministry in Lawrence, Kansas. This means that we are committed to Lutheran theology, including the Five Reformation Solas:

  • Faith alone

  • Grace alone

  • Scripture alone

  • Christ alone

  • Glory to God alone

You do not need to be Lutheran to participate in our activities. We welcome you no matter what faith you hold.
