Lutherans for Life of Kansas Annual Conference at Redeemer Church
Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lawrence, Kansas is honored to serve as the host church for the Lutherans for Life of Kansas Annual Conference on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The conference will also include a hands on service project in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Participants will work together to build beds for children in need, offering a practical expression of care for local families. Earlier this year, Redeemer members had the privilege of participating in a Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build, and we saw firsthand how ordinary work, measuring, sanding, assembling, and carrying, can become a genuine work of mercy when people serve side by side.
In addition to the bed build, the conference ingathering will collect twin sheet sets for children in need. These sheets will accompany the beds provided through the service project. A bed is more than furniture. It is a place for rest, security, and dignity, and a simple gift like a sheet set can help make that gift complete for a child and family receiving it.
